Tooling for hardware security has been shifting to becoming more open and accessible in recent years. In this talk, Colin lays out some of these shifts, along with highlighting current and future work in the area of hardware security tooling including projects such as power analysis & fault injection tooling. He also shows how you can help by sharing your results and setups, even if they are not complete projects that are classically well known. Finally he brings in some experiences from taking open tooling & building commercial offerings, which might help you decide where to focus your own effort while keeping yourself sane (and fed).
